Friday’s Frugal Food – Breaded Fries

This isn’t exactly a recipe…it’s kind of a “throw together” that worked out, so I’m gonna share the basics for you to make them at home!

Preheat your oven to 425 degrees.  Get yourself a few potatoes (I used 3 for my family of four) and scrub ‘em good.  You can peel them if you’d like, or not.  Slice them into wedges.

Remember the cracker/bread crumbs I told you about?  Here’s a reminder:

Pour 1/2 – 1 cup of those crumbs into a bowl, and season how you like.  I like salt and pepper, or garlic pepper, but really, do what you like.  Dip those potato wedges into the crumbs, and coat them well.   Spray a baking sheet with nonstick spray and spread the potato wedges evenly onto it.  Bake for 20 minutes or so, until done.

You can serve with a dollop of sour cream seasoned with fresh garlic and dill.
